In “Sounds of Africadeus”, Jaro digs deep through the vaults of traditional Afro Roots music via exclusive label archives using currently available recorded mediums (DAT, DVD-R, and Cassette Tape). In a fresh attempt to explore the roots of contemporary African music, he helps showcase a unique and vibrant selection of musicians and their songs. The music is characterized by trance-like repetitions of a short melody which is subtly altered over the course of each song. The solo parts of the individual musicians are woven into a communal tapestry of highly complex melodies.
